Change in ownership of Powerflute

Powerflute, a Smurfit-controlled, Finnish-based and London listed paper and packaginggroup is changing ownership. The company's businesses include the 280.000 tpy semi-chemical fluting mill in Kuopio, Finland, previously called Savon Sellu. Powerflute also includes Stora Enso's old coreboard (300.000 tpy) and core-production facilities (230.000 tpy). The deal, proposed by Madison Dearborn Partners, is set to cost 268.
